Clio Duo or Clio Work vs ClientSafeAI

Should we use Clio’s AI, or a private AI workspace, for client documents?

The short answer

Clio’s AI lives inside its practice management platform. Clio Manage’s Core plan and above drafts bills, turns documents into calendar events and drafts client updates. Clio Work adds research, analysis and drafting grounded in your matter and the law, with a built-in citator. ClientSafeAI isn’t practice management and has no legal research content. It answers questions about your documents on a server that belongs to your firm alone.

  • Pick Clio if your firm already runs on Clio Manage and wants AI tied to its matters, billing and calendar, or needs legal research next to its case files.
  • Pick ClientSafeAI if the priority is where client documents are processed: on a machine nobody else uses, at one flat price for the firm rather than per user.
